Second, we discussed the official policies for the event. The flight lines will remain open until 7:00 pm each evening so we'll have to push our time back to then to fly non-IMAA aircraft. And for insurance purposes, anyone flying anything on the Triple Tree grounds must be a registered pilot. So there you have it. It's now official!

Official Parkzone T-28 Mass Launch
"Operation Trojan Overcast"

"Wave #1" - Wednesday, May 13, 7:00 pm
on the main flight line

"Main Invasion" - Thursday, May 14, 7:00 pm
on the main flight line

Let's gather about an hour ahead of time to put our aircraft in a group near the gazebo and pose for pictures, etc. We'll also have a quick and informal "pilot's meeting" at that time. Then, at 7:00 pm, we'll commence "Operation Trojan Overcast".

This is going to be very frequency dependant since there will certainly be flying activity at each of the other three sites that will be using some of the available 2.4 ghz freqs. But, I think that the main runway is the only one allowing 72 mhz, which should add to the numbers a bit if yours in on that band. Please plan accordingly. We'll try to get as many in the air at one time as we can!

Amazingly enough, my new one only received minor damage in that 'Tree D " encouinter! The more you scratch'em, the better they fly!

Thursday sounds great Robert. J'Quique really wants to be a part of this one. I told her we'd be doing it on Friday and she could participate! That comment went over like a turd in a punch bowl! LOL She'll probably do Wednesday AND Thursday. This is gonna be fun.
Hmmmm,,,maybe we better stop off at the local mini mart and buy a styrofoam cooler for repair material!
Don't forget about the midair last weekend at Rocky Mount, that tore the aileron off,, but she was still flying great,,

Correction, there is no "bind-n-fly" that I know of. The "Plug-n-Play" (no receiver) is $169.

I was talking to Pat Hartness today and told him about the T-28. He thought it was such a great idea that Pat has thrown down the gauntlet and said "This is the Joe Nall, Their should be 100 T-28's". Pat said he would be resopnsibe for geting ten of them their. So let us all make this happen. This will be quit a sight to see 100 matching planes in the air at one time. Robert, Maybe we want to chane the number on the therad name to one hundred.

I like Pat's spirit! I'm all for it and it will take some support from Pat, Mike and other event management to make that happen since we'll need every available frequency and a little more formal plan on site. Let's work toward that! And how about moving it to one of the noontime demo slots?.......

Man, Wes, it's a shame you won't be there when we do this. Who knows, it might eveolve into a Friday or Saturday time slot.

Hey John. It will be great to have you join us!

No fair. Yours will be too easy to identify in flight if you repaint it. Ha! I can tell you this, none of us have had much luck if we ever take our eyes off of our own plane in the "gaggle".
