JR UK(MacGregor) and from this in Australia too don't quote 6V unless in some specific cases.
In the UK at least they state that as you get the full power from 4.8V so no need to go higher, or something like that

For the Americans ... 33 kg-cm is 457 oz-in of torque.
Horizon Hobby (US distributor) does not show a DS6301. Often they call it something else when shipped in the US. |

457 oz/in of torque on 4.8 volts?? Hell, tell the Brits and Aussies to send some of them bad boys over here! (I'm just guessing on this, but the 4.8 battery that will power a plane full of these will probably have to be the size of a tractor battery!) LOL! Anybody from Horizon wanna chime in on what they know about these?

Think this is similiar to the 8711HV or one of those new alu bodies.

Aghhh well that is why I asked the question about them, Even the JRRadios site does not list these servos in their product line up. The specs I have quoted in the first post is the only info I have been able to dig up on them, I have no idea if they can be operated at higher voltages. Many Futaba digitals specify use at 4.8v Only! I was hoping someone here might be able to shed some more light on these! Lets keep this thread ticking over as I am very curious. Cheers, Jeff |
