I just picked up a new Ultra Stick 1.20 Lite complete with a new Saito 1.80 for a really low price. I maidened it the other day and as I suspected, it's too docile for me. I was wondering what the best profile would be for this engine. The less building I have to do the better, as I am a little on the too busy, too lazy, too much of a hurry side.
Although a nice, complete kit, is not out of the question. Thanks in advance. Remember, Saito 1.80!! Thanks again, Plowboy.

Thanks Mike. That appears to be a solid choice. How's the hardware, everything useable? Any mods I should know about up front? Thanks for your help.

Hardware is typical chinese but not that bad. I think we used all the hardware on the last one I built for a friend except the ca hinges. We went with small robart pin hinges.

Thanks again Mike. Does she typically balance with everything in the stock location when using the Saito?

While you'd have to build this, this one looks very promising! |

Yeah, I knew about that one but not sure that I'll ever have the time to build it. I've already had some conversations with the guy who is having them cut and he seems like a really decent fellow. Not to mention, the plane looks like it's pretty awesome. Thanks for jumpin' in.

OMP edge 80 inch arf i am on my second one . I have a YS 140 on mine but i think the 180 would be about equal on power with Widcat 30% Heli mix.

Thanks Bruce. Does the YS 1.40 really make more power than a Saito 1.80? I've never had a YS but always hear good things about them.

Built 2- 1st generation 80 inch Edge kits from OMP, both still with us. Mine has a Moki 210, the other has the Saito 180. The Saito plane is a full 1 lb + lighter, flies better and just seems happier with the big block 4 stroker. Fantastic planes..My choice again would definately be the 180......whatever that's worth,

Sorry Plowboy i didnt see your question reference the YS140 equal to the saito 180. I agree with the other post here they are about equal i would say . Either motor is a winner in my book as long as you use a good 20 or 30% nitro blend fuel. Good luck
