Announcement:

I have been working on a TUFF club event like the event I held here in Grand Prairie this year.
It was called the Giant Scale & 3D Jamboree. We had 48 sponsors with a total in prizes close to 9,000 .
After talking with Mark & a few others, I have ordered the Sanction pkg from the AMA.

Now the date that Mark & I came up with is June 11, 12, 13.
My idea is to also call our event the Giant Scale & 3D Jamboree and in 2010 the TUFF club will host this event.

Large event & numerous sponsors is what I'm going for in this event as well.

I will not be letting the Golden Triangle host another event of mine due to the fact that the support for the event was not of majior concern for the club members here and I found myself doing everything.

It takes workers to cook in shifts and to get the field ready for the pilots as well as a couple of well spoken representatives to market the event in your area, taking event fliers to local hobby shops and talking to the media in your area, the land owner, and most of all to get the word out to the pilots.

My only venue here is to provide a place where we all can gather for food, fun & fellowship.
I will provide the marketing here on FG by starting an event thread that I expect to grow rather quickly because everyone in Giant Scale knows what I'm capable of. This TUFF event will be of a slightly smaller in size. but will still be rather large.

Now I tried to gather attention to the TUFF club by allowing Monkey's to call sign to be changed.
But that has failed due to the inability for him to travel to different events with the present caretaker. I believe that I have failed him in some ways and is the primary reason that I did not start a T.U.F.F Monkey thread because I wanted to see what the long term care of him would be.

Now we have another chance to TUFF it to the top with this event but It will take workers that will do what they say they will do. I really don't expect any concern with our club at all, I'm just saying...... It will also take the chit chat from this thread to be redirected to the new event thread and lots of it.

So, I am asking if you guys have an interest in grilling, being their all three days, bringing the fun that we all enjoy when were all together as well as a chance to get the TUFF club recognized as the funnest club anywhere.

I'm lost. Is this a TUFF function or a monkey event. This is somewhat a known date for the next TUFF Big Bird. A money raising event to pay our annual lease. I guess my direct question is where is the raised money going and who is going to keep the finacial statement. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see our (TUFF) event get bigger and I realize this takes people, time and money, but we as a club, need to know the details, ie a meeting. The other question is about monkey. What are we talking about? TUFF monkey thread? What is he suppose to be doing? Traveling, hanging out, or driving back to Dallas? jed

This is my concern. 1st. TUFF or mine. 2nd. If it is a club event the people who enjoy putting on events will be there when needed. But the last thing we need is someone bad talking or being upset because they didn't get the recognition that they were expecting. Thats the difference between doing it for yourself or for the club. jed
