Matt, are you still going to allow time for a weekend of flying? Or day. We will make a mini Huckfest at my field.
I need to get the thumbs on the sticks yet.

On another note... I would like to extend some public gratitude to Mr. Tim Davie of the Glue Dobbers in Tulsa. Not only did he run one hell of an event and treat me like long lost kin.... he just came thru my home town of Clinton, IA for the international Cessna 150/152 fly-in and took my 9 year old up for his first aerobatic flight. My son wants nothing more than to be a pilot and spends all of his time on the r/c sim and on the full scale sims when ever possible. We all want our kids to do something like this with their lives and sometimes due to lack of ability to actually "get up in the air" they lose interest! Thank you once again Tim for helping to not only keep Collin's interest, but for building it to a level higher than ever before! You truly are a gentleman and an ambassador of both r/c and general aviation! It is both a pleasure and an honor to call you my friend!

Hi Matt, was the shape of the rudder changed at all from the origional production kit?

the 300 that we are producing is the same (rudder wise) as the one that the previous owner had been putting out for the past 6 or so months. i know that he had made this version a bit thinner than the origional, but we have changed nothing. so, when compared to the origional production kit from few years back, this rudder will be thinner.

The original 300 had a thin (thinner than the thick on anyway) rudder, this is the rudder my plane has. Then the rudder was changed to a very thick one. They may have gone back to the original one.

i think that the previous owner has changed this up a few times..
alright, i just measured the rudder on the 300 MidWing that i am currently building and it is 1 5/8" at the thickest portion of the top. forgive me guys, all i know is what we are currently offering. those of you that have flown the different versions, i would gladly accept some feedback and suggestion. let me know what you think/thought.

thanks guys
matt

I've flown both types and the thinner rudder is better.

I'll have to measure mine tomorrow. I'm beat from a Warbird and Fun Fly weekend trip.

I do know the thicker rudder was crazy big on the version I flew of my buddies.
