At a thought you could offer either rudder version in the kit when you order. Might cost you more in inventory etc. though.

our kits are builders kits. the sheeting is up to the builder. i can offer a presheeted kit if folks would want... it would probably run around $400 or so extra to have all of the foam sheeted and ready for final sanding. if this would be the case, the wings would come with the phenolics already installed. i know that dalton was getting $400 or more extra for the "short build" pre-sheeted kits....we certainly wouldn't be any greater than our competition.

items to be pre-sheeted:

wings
vertical
horizontals
belly pan
hatch
turtle deck

Hello Matt,

I have a question for you; would you all consider kitting an aircraft design for an individual or company if you were provided with all supporting engineering, tooling for the manufacturing of the engine cowl, wheel pants, landing gear, and canopy? The reason I ask is that I am in the process of building a proto-type 55% Extra 260 and I think there might be some interest in something this size that will perform very strong 3D with unlimited vertical, and powered with a 170cc class engine.

Thanks, Bob

That would be cool to have a large plane fly off a 170. I've got no room for a plane so large until I stop moving for the AF I'll be stuck with 35-43% planes

I'm eagerly awaiting the Grand Opening! I've pretty much decided to buy one of these kits and building a new plane for next years IMAC season, just need to decide which one! Building table is cleared off and the hobby budget looks good. Matt, hurry up, please

The target finish weight on this platorm is 43 lbs. with a DA 170cc on pipes. Wing span is 164" and length 144". I have been working on this for a while now and have already kitted the entire airframe at this point, I am still working on the tooling for the composite components and hope to have that finished soon so I can go ahead and get this one together. I just think it would be kinda cool if there were a few more of these flying around the country.

sensei...

what an awesome project! i would think that we would love to assist in projects like this in the future. right now we are pooring all of our time and resources into getting our current airframes to market, therefore i wouldn't want to over promise a time frame with you on this project. we would love to discuss this with you and determine both our capability and availabitly so we could put a game plan together! we would be honored to discuss this with you and hope to do so soon.

please PM me your ph # so we can get in touch with you.
