Another great afternoon of flying with Matt all the guys in Clinton IA, and I just keep meeting great people up here. If any of you guys are up this way you owe it to yourself to look this club up and stop in for a visit..........You dont need a plane......I am sure there will be something there to fly.

Kevin nice to meet you..........and that was a pretty cool take off with the Pitts...........it seems that Kevin likes to throw mix switches in the middle of take offs just to see how exciting things can get..........

Hi,
I want to congratulate you on your new business and good luck. I have an question for you, in post #401 line 5, it states that carbon fiber wheel pants are standard on 35% kits. On your web site it says they come with glass wheel pants and carbon fiber is an option. Please let me know. I will be ordering the 35% Edge soon.

Thanks,
Ray

Ray,

we are still working on the molds for the larger aircraft's carbon fiber pants so the big ones will get the fiberglass versions for now. we DO have the carbons for the 35%'ers and will offer them standard with the option being the fiberglass ones..... however, we are doubting that many folks will request the glass option.

Thanks, Rob Joyner built it, the former owner of Aerotech covered it, and my dad did the paint work. I don't like to blend, To quote Nelon "well, you can tell it's yours..." the same build/cover/paint team did my Dalton and I love how both of these airplanes came out. (picture attached for cover/paint, not brand...please don't lynch me)

I bought the 42% Aerotech from John Nelon (it was a beautiful airplane as well) so it was already covered and painted. He has already posted some higher quality pictures of the same airplane.

I am very fortunate to have good friends from all aspects of this hobby, especially since they are all within 15 minutes of the house. Even Tony was here until about a year ago until he ejected and moved to the Desert. Headed to Robs this week to help with his commitments.

Thanks for bringing that up Tex

That will be one of those "Remeber when Walker....." stories told for quite some time I'm sure!

It was a pleasure meeting you as well Tex and I enjoyed watching you treat that foamie like a red headed step child.

You need to come fly with us some weekend in Des Moines! You are welcome to fly any of my stuff and there's a corn field for you to de-tassle there too

So aside from nearly destroying someone’s Aerotech Pitts and taking out a 40% Hemple Cub and an Extreme flight Yak in the process (nothing was harmed except a perfectly good pair of underwear) I had an extremely enjoyable day with Matt and his crew in Clinton.

Rolled up, shook a few hands, and had transmitters practically lined up in front of me for a serious day of "OPP".

The highlight of my day was certainly getting some stick time on Matt's beautiful Edge. I've been witness to it flying several times between the Nall, Huckfests, other local events but this was the first time I had pried the TX out of Matt’s hands. It took all of about three seconds to be completely WOWED. Guys trust me when I say this version of the Aerotech Edge is a winner and will be worth the wait!!!!!<O</O

Yeah, I get all confused and don't know what to do with myself if I don't have corn or soy beans on all four sides of my run way
