Congratulations Matt, Paul, Ken.
Great wishes for success in your new endevors! As most of you know,I have been an Aerotech dealer in Canada since 2006, since then we have bought Twelve airframes into Canada, both ARF's and kits, with out a doubt, they are probably one of the best and most accurite flying models in our industry, with the advent of you, the new ownership, I can only imagine how elevated this product line will be!!
Good luck to you, and can't wait to see everyone at Joe Nall.!!

Dave..

I probably won't make it to Nall after all this year (cub scout campout for the entire weekend, so no flying anywhere).... but, I wish you guys the best of luck, and look forward to seeing you at Huckfest this fall.

Matt I am so glad that this deal is finally done and out in the open. As you know I have that dusty old Velox II in the basement that needs some 3D ailerons. Is Aerotech going to be offering the Velox? If so when you get up and running I will be looking you up.
Congradulations on your new venture and I know that you and the Aerotech crew will be very sucessful.

I wish that I could make the Nall but it looks like this big hole in my back yard is calling my name. So I gotta stay here and work. I hope to catch up with you at the Huckfest's this year.

man, i wish you could make it to triple tree! that's too bad!

YES... and a BIG YES it is!!! we most definitely are offering the velox and the "super V"!!! i am planning on flying one of these birds in imac by mid summer. they are about the best point roll plane you can come across because of the box type sides and how they act like a wing on KE! i'll be at all of the HF's so i hope to see you soon!

Matt,

I am assuming you took over the website also. Are the prices of the kits going to remain the same?

Thanks

the pricing structure will be close to the same. these kits will be offered with MANY more standard pieces. the pricing you have been looking at gets you aluminum wing and stab tubes, no interlocking motor box construction, no carbon wheel pant option, no hardware, and a very sparce instruction manual.

we will offer these kits standard with carbon tubes, a carbon wheel pant option, interlocking construction, the greatest instruction manual/cd known to the industry, a full assembly hardware package and lightening templates for tail control surfaces and belly pans.

our prices will be right in line with the competition.

Glad to see AeroTech is back.
Well, its my be a stretch but stretching is how good things happen. I personally would have build a kit much sooner if I could have avoided painting of the fiberglass parts. The covering would be a great bonus .

I know they do something with those ARF's to get those consistent and frankly awesome covering jobs. I don't know what it is but I suspect they cut all the fiddly bits with a laser. If you have CAD files its pretty trivial to determine the shape and size of the covering for, say, the turtle deck. If you don't it takes years of experience to get right.

Anything that make the experience of building a kit smooth and trouble free will expand the market for kits and thus your revenue stream.

Kits need to step it up for the hobby. Kits ARE the hobby. Go Aerotech!
