OK I just sold my 70" TLT Yak with a low power 26cc and I'm going for a 50 cc yak. Its down to the SD/TOC or the Aeroworks. The EF and the H9 Yaks are stretched versions and I won't have the room to transport anything over 78". The only thing holding me back from the SD is the long cowl and canopy placement. I think I can get over it if it flys great. Does the SD fly noticably better? Ive heard the Aeroworks are heavy and the reviews Ive read confirm this. What is a realistic weight for the SD 50 cc yak.

The SD Yak is much better than the Aeroworks. I would find a way to make the EF Yak work. It is in a whole different class than the SD and Aeroworks. I have owned all three and there is no comparison to the EF Yak.

If I had to choose between the SD yak or the aeroworks yak I would definetly suggest the SD. They fly great!

Make the EF work for you. It is the best flying 50cc Yak on the market and you cant beat the great customer service.

I agree with these guys. The EF Yak is the way to go, as far as 50cc yaks are concerned. Make the rudder removable and/or remove the spinner.

Forget the SD, go with Pilot RC. Best customer service and they will even do a custom scheme if you dont want a plane matching everyones at the field.

Pilot RC for sure. It will be light, will fly great, and the rudder is DESIGNED to be removable. If you order the Yak from the Pilot website, you can get the plane and a DL55 for 1049$ The shipping is free. Oh almost forgot, it's the Carbon Fiber version.
http://www.pilot-rc.com/ProductShow.aspx?id=61 Almost forgot. For another 65.00 you can design your own scheme. Pilot will cover it just the way you want it. My 35% Pilot Extra 300 will be beautiful. Well, at least I think so! LOL Steve |

OK I have narrowed it to the Pilot RC 87" yak or the EF 88". The EF Yaks are out of stock and are 3+ weeks out. TBM has a sale on the Pilot CF version at $600 but the EF is only $50 more.

Either one would be a great choice. Just remember if space is sparse, the Pilot rudder is easily removed. Flip a coin and enjoy your Yak!

Heres my pilot custom sceme 50cc yak. Space, and the weight being at altitude is what pushed me that direction over EF.

I own both E.F yak and extra. Both are awsome, hands free hovers,no wing rock in harriers a real solid performer. Just waiting for the EF edge to come out cause i will own it too. Good luck on your choice, both are a great product!

Wow I just won the 37% Ultimate from the PAU drawing. First time I've won something in many years. With my finances and shop space I will not be able to build this ship so I hope I can exchange it for their 50 cc Yak.

Congrats on the win.
I would think that they would gladly exchange it for a 50cc. Heck just get it to your house and trade someone for a 50cc bird. I would buy you what ever 50cc you want and trade you for the Ultimate. ![]()
