Default 2 blade props vs. 3 blade props

What are the general rules of thumb for going from 2 blades to 3 in regards to size? I am using a 24x12 on an A60. What would be the recommended equivelant for a 3 blade?

Will I need to change anything else besides the spinner and blade? Does the amp draw change?

Other than better ground clearance, are there any other advantages/disavantages of going to 3 blades?

Wondering if I should try it out on a plane I am starting to build. I am just considering it because I have not used a 3 blade prop before and though I might try something new.

From what ive read, you need to go down an inch in diameter but keep the same pitch. just search it on google and youll find a bunch of people explaining it

FWIW a 27X10 2 blade is supposed to be a good starting point prop for a 100cc sized engine but a 25X12 3 blade is supposed to work for a 3 blade too so I hope this helps. My 3w 106 turns up to a 28X10 2 blade and turns a 25X12 3 blade well too.

I agree 25x12 for gas that is the way to go for a three bladed prop. But I have no clue on the electic side..
