Hey guys,
I have been flying for awhile now. But I am limited with my 3D skills. I have been flying 3D foamies for awhile, and ive been giving the simulator time at my LHS. I plan on getting a 3DHS plane over the summer. But im not sure wich one to choose. Im sure i can handle them because ive had alot of training, but wich one will be better for me as my first 3D balsa plane. ![]() Thanks --PvT |

Your best bet is to call Ben on the phone listed on the 3DHS site. He will listen to your experience and tell you what you need. He is a blast to talk to and will steer you right.
That being said, the Slick is a generation newer than the Yak and incorporates lessens learned in the intervening years. (go Slick or Extra SHP!) |

either of them should. it may just involve removing or modifying the wheel pants at the worst.

Even though there is only 4" difference in the w/s, the 55" will require different gear (more expensive) than the Slick. The Yak will need a bigger motor, 5s batteries instead of 3s-4s, and bigger servos. Also something to consider is that if you don't already have a charger that will charge 5s batteries then there is another expense. Just something to think about.
