Ali,
I'm guessing you are talking about a jet with a variable direction exhaust nozzle and maybe a canard to move the nose around also. There are probably some guys on here that will be more than happy to chime in on this. I think the Joe Nall crowd was treated to a 3D demo of a EuroJet last year. There might still be a video on here somewhere..... Do a search.

Got a question and I don't mean to be disrespectful to you or your country. How does your country view the flying of model airplanes? Things seem to be repressed in Iran on a lot of different fronts. I'm just curious how a seemingly hard line government views a hobby such as model planes. I myself am pleased to hear from you and would like to know if there is a large contingent of modelers in your country. I'd like to know more about what you fly over there and availability of models and supplies. No matter what the views of our governments may be, it seems modelers from all over the world speak the same language. Happy flying and stay connected with us here on Flying Giants. Hope you get more answers and info on the jets you are looking for.

Ali,
Cool pictures and yes, ya'll have a great looking group if modelers. It looks as if you have a wide-open site to fly at also. Looks like "dubd" is giving you some info to check for on the jet you want.
Nice looking shop!

Hi Alireza,

Good to see you guys are active. Where do you guys fly? What frequency are you guys allowed to fly at? It’s refreshing to see that there is a group of modelers back there and more refreshing to see FG has reached to modelers around the world!

I can only imagine how expensive these things are in Iran and possibly only elite group of people can afford it considering currency conversion.

Btw, how do you guys deal with importing US products to Iran? Some of the brands you mentioned can not legally deal with Iran and export their products there, so I am just wondering! I am sure there is always a back door and things can get shipped from China but US based company can not legally export products to Iran due to the sanctions that have been in place for years.

Here’s a video of comp-arf doing 3D jet in California Jets, 2009. I was the only prop guy that did a little noon time demo.Ali Mashinchy from UK flying his latest jet model was there as well. BTW, Ali can be a great source for any Jet needs. He is an outstanding human being with mad skills. I found this on youtube
Keep up the good work! Nice runway and open area.

Hi Alireza,
good to see RC boys back home. In order for a jet to do 3D you need Thrust Vectoring. The nozzles move with elevator and rudder. The nozzle is Called VT nozzle. At the moment Composite-arf makes the Eurofighter with VT nozzle and Skymaster has MIG-29 that can be setup with VT. They have to have servo trays installed in the rear section for the nozzle to be servo operated. take a look at the MIG-29 in skymaster website. also while youre in the website, check out my IRIAF F4 Phantom.

http://www.skymasterjet.com/mig29.htm

Here is my maiden flight video;

Enjoy

Does the nozzle move with the elevator and rudder at all flight speeds, or is there a 3D mode that the pilot flips into to engage the nozzle?

Hi Reza,
We have 3 flying filed in Tehran and this one is largest it is 35 Km out of city .we use 40Mhz, 72Mhz and 2.4 Ghz.
For your information most of our customers and Iranian modelers they use only famous brands .
We have a good cooperation with Most of US brands but some of them has problem to deal with us like DA engines ,we replaced the MVVS and I am sure MVVS is much better. US based brans ship to Dubai at first then we export the goods to Tehran.
I know Ali Mashinchi and his father and we have good relationship together Mr Shahpoor (Ali's father) visit our shop 3 time so maybe I ask him in this matter soon.
Your name is Persian ,are you Iranian ?
Anyway I knoe the Trust vectoring completely but I want to know what hapend for ailerons in hovering and harrier position because we have only elevator and rudder in trust vector is it enoth for 3D flight and hovering ?

Alireza Jan,

DA is a large and very successful engine company that also is involved with US defense, there is no way they can jeopardize their relation with defense programs that they are involved by selling few engines to Iran so don't feel bad about that.

Don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions or if I can help you in anyways, reza@RCModelAviator.com

Keep up the good work and promote the hobby. More need to get involved and free themselves up from all that stress they are going through.

Reza

Alireza,
Most jets with thrust vectoring use one or more Gyros for assisting them in hovering. As long as your have one to one power/weight ratio, you should be able to do most 3d manuvers with jet. however you need to make sure your fuel system is fail proof. I am not sure if you know about
website http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_120/tt.htm . all the jet guys are in this forum you can post your specific questions.

Reza,
My means was not DA is not good also I understand the situation of DA company for international connections ,All the modelers when they want to go to gas engines the first choice is DA but when we can not offer DA then we must go to other brands and I believe that MVVS is one of the best gas engines.
