If it was me........the DA100. Watch full throttle straight and level and def no full throttle downlines and you'll be fine. Bonus: you can move that motor to any plane in the future.

I have one and absolutely love it. It was given to me by a friend after my New Yak crashed with only several flights on it. I won't go into details on the crash as there is a trolling assmonkey that told me I deserved it.

Anyway, Everything survived the crash (except the prop) so I put all the gear in the Extra. Actually, I'm the 4th owner of the plane. I have a BME 102 on the nose, Power HD 9150's on wings and elevators, (Matchboxes on the wings) and a 8711 on the rudder. Spectrum 9100 receiver on two 2300 mah A123's, and a two cell 2600 mah Lion on the ignition. Mejzlik 26X10 . Flies very well. I was a bit disappointed with the weight. 25+lbs. But it was a bathroom scale. I mainly fly IMAC with it, but it does beautiful rolling harriers with the rates turned up.

You're going to love it. I'm having a new plane built (Pilot Extra 300 35%) so I was going to sell the H9. But I can't bring myself to let it go. Space is an issue for me, but I'll just have to find room. It is very hard to let go of a great flying good looking plane.

Good luck with yours. Show pics if you can.

85 would be perfect on this plane, do it for the wing loading. Vibration shouldnt be an issue on a wood airframe. And run a can, I'm using a MTW 110 rear dump and it's giving me alot of power and a great sound. If I see you at any events soon i'll let you fly my 260 with the 85. At 24 lbs you will be amazed by the power. I'm using a 24-12 3 blade for IMAC and 3D.

Rob and POOF aka Luckett got this at Nall for you right? I saw them carrying one.

The 85 will shake the hell out of it, but the plane is built tough. The 100 will in my opinion be too heavy for the plane. You may end up 27+lbs. The plane will not fly well at this weight. Especially anything low speed. However, I'm at 6000'asl. And at almost 26lbs, she will try to tip on my turn from the cross leg to final if I don't keep her at a good click. At sea level, you may not encounter this. Also, the 100 will not fit inside the cowl without cutting teardrops for the plugs.
If you can find a BME twin, like a 102, or 110 with low pro caps, you're golden.

I have the 85 on my H9 Edge it is a fantastic combination, it has better power to weight performance than my 35% edge. I think allot of the people that complain about the 85 shaking are either not mounting it solid enough or are mounting it on a very lightweight (possibly weak) airframe. The older design H9 Extra's and Edges are quite a bit more sturdy than their current 33% sukhoi and are able to bear the power of the 85 better than some newer design's. I have beat the living hell out of my H9 Edge (also at least the 3rd owner) and not had any problems at all.

I won't argue the 85 as I've never owned one. But I totally agree with the strength of the airframe. It should not be a problem. I guess I vote the 85.

I didn't build mine. It was given to me built. I did notice the guy that built it made the tank movable.
It slides left and right to make the wing bolts more accessible. I don't really think it was necessary.

Just mount the engine correctly and you will not have issues with vibration! This engine should not be mounted on long stand offs, do yourself a favor and make a light weight motor mount, they are several post on FG that shows how to do this. If done correctly you should be real happy wiht the 85 in this plane. Should be an animal!
