Default T.O.C Extra 260 build thread.

Hi just got my T.O.C Extra 260 today from the hobby shop. I took it out of the box and everything is in great shape. First think is that the fuel tank, fuel lines and fuel dot are installed. Second alierons and elevators are hinged and glued in. Rudder has hinges glued in and slots are in fuse for it. No wrinkles in oracoat. Tunnel ready for canster. Cowling has two slots on bottom that slide into wood tabs on fuse that already have blind nuts, and top screws in from under the canopy. Hardware seems very good. I will be posting pics as i go along. This plane looks great. Does anyone have this plane and do you have any tips on it...

Good Luck on the build. Here's one tip, get a tru-turn spinner. The spinners that are included in the TOC arf-kits are nice and shiny, but the backplates tend to crack. I know from experience and have witnessed it in my club. OTher than that you will love the plane and every moment you have it! GOod luck with it. Post pictures of it and what color scheme do you have on it? Take Care

I have the red, white and blue scheme #01. I also found out that the servos for the elevators goes in the stab, Sweet.. Very impressed with it so far.

COOl, your gonna like this one. Here's just a quick tip. I reccomend that you pin your hinges on this plane b4 you fly it. I have the 30% yak and it came all hinged up. I decided to pin the hinges after about 10-15 flights they seemed a bit weird. Now i've got close to 100 flights on it and no issues! Still flying it hard! GOod luck! Hope it all goes well. This color scheme looks better than i thought it did! nice choice! Take care

I didn't know they came with "hidden" cowl screws. Cool. That's the plane I keep threatening to get, the next size (or two) up. I like the black over the blue trim but would be happy with either.

Hell if I survive the next couple months I see no reason not to. We'll see. Shoot if I could just GO FLY I'd be happy right now ! Missing a lot of not raining every day right now. Been a mess 'round here.

Tell me, is the cowl flush mount too ? I was pretty sure the cowl overlapped the fuse on these.

Well i came across my first problem. The Manual that came with the kit is for a 35%, it shows me to put three servos in each wing ( i know it only needs 1 because there is only 1 spot for it). It also shows me installing the servo for the stab in the Fuse (but i can see where it goes in the Stab). Went on line to Chief to download the right manual and that manual shows the same. Oh well can work around the problem..

Here are some pics of the wings and stabs. Every thing is fitting together so nice. On the one pic of the wing all you can see is a screw head, that is the top of the wing. I can only hope this plane flys half as good as it builds..Ok more pics later

Hello My name is Eric and I am building the same plane but in the blue. Do you mind if I tag along on this one? Because this is my second build of a 30%. I am doing the hinges right now.
