Interested in how much weight reduction it comes out to be. Looking nice.

Just a little heads up Sam, on my plane with a DA100 and stock mufflers I was very nose heavy. I put two 2600 li-on packs back against the rudder post, rudder servo under the left stab and still added 2 oz's to the tail. I guess if I used two rudder servos back there I would'nt need the lead. Anyway hope your build goes well and hopefully I'll get to come up north and fly with you and the rest of the PAU gang sometime this summer.

that plane already flys great at its current weight. I cant imagine what it would be like lighter.

I'm aware of the nose heavy tendancy. I'll adjust batts as necessary. As for weight savings? I don't think its that much. At most it'll be 1lb but I imagine less than that. I wasn't really trying to save weight as much as balance out the plane better by guessing ahead of time.
Well I put the top wings on tonight with the bottom wings on. Scheme looks pretty agressive and sweet if I must say so myself. More pics to follow tomorrow

Almost forgot. I used some of my Klett Hinge stash and made the rudder removable. Wasn't hard to do at all.

Even if it is only a pound of weight savings, that is 1 pound less that goes up in the air. It will be interesting to see how much the servos at the back and the weight savings you did does to the CG. Mine balanced at the recommended CG point, but the 3 batteries, two rudder servos and Eq6 are all fairly close together at the back in order to get that. I would be nicer if you can spread them out a bit, there is a lot of room to do that.

On my 42% we weighed the rudder and stabs before holes and after. Then weighed the servos. The servos were a tad lighter than the holes we made. So I figure this to be a wash or pretty close which is fine with the servos in the aft.

It is looking good and interesting recover and assembly. Can't wait to see what it looks like when all done and hear how it flys.

More updates. The wings are done (minus the yellow on the top).
I mounted the cowl and glued the motor box together.

Man I'm beat. I spent the day stripping and sanding the landing gear. I was going to paint them black but after talking this weekend at BellAir I decided that mirrored gear would look better. I got about 2/3 of it done. I also sanded a very tiny bit on the cowl.......just couldn't do that for long today.
I then finished up the motorbox. I pinned it and added my blindnuts for the motor. I then mounted the EQ6, the optic kill, the 32oz fuel/40oz smoke tanks and then painted up the insides gray. Then hit it with some fleckstone (though my can clogged up before I could get 100% done with the fleckstone). I also managed to finish up the ailerons. All I really have left to do is........ 1. Yellow pinstripe on top wings/ailerons 2. Glue top ailerons in 3. Cover elevator 4. Cover Rudder 5. Glue Rudder in 6. Cover Fuse 7. Sand cowl/wheel pants 8. Sand gear a little more 9. Paint cowl/wheel pants 10. Install radio gear. Not too bad of a list for just shy of 2 weeks. I'll have some pics tomorrow. Also played around with the Secret I'm bringing......its nice.
