That is Way Cool. How are you attaching the helmet? Is the Head going to stay on during High G Maneuvers?

The servo arm is glued to the wood circle plate in the head. The screw that holds the arm to the servo is holding the head on.

I'm not worried about High G's as that typically pushes you into the seat. Negative G on the other hand.......I'm more worried about idle on the ground as vibration is more present there. I shall see how this method holds up if it doesn't I'll re-attack how I make this work.

Worked on the plane over the weekend.

For those wondering. I took the flying wire clevis's and drilled them out. Then put the bracket in them and clamped them closed. I sodered the clevis shut and took heatshrink and fuel tubing over the clevis. They should never open on their own again. Overkill maybe but its my plane. I then installed the optickill light (green led) and the 3W ignition light (red led) in the dash.

The pilots visor and helmet are being fussy with my primer and paint (probably due to the temp and humidity in the NW). So he is not ready to start flying yet. Its nice that once this is all done you don't have to remove any hatches to put the plane together. I even installed my Spektrum logger data port on the outside of the plane.

Life has been busy. Finally broke down and paid someone to paint the cowl. Hopefully it matches better than my attempt. No mods done to this motor, it doesn't need it. Its always ran strong.

Still have not found (or money) to order the stickers or finish painting the pilot head.

Maybe once I get the Edge in the air again I'll finish up the pilot paint.

Yes I did. I thought I sent you pics. I'll have to check out the home computer and see what I have. If I didn't take any it'll be ahwile. That edge is now mothballed. I packaged up the wings and stripped the fuse of all radio gear/tanks/motor etc. The PAU Edge has taken its place. I have a possible move happening this summer so things are slowly getting packed up.

I had a Banshee, tuned pipess, reeds, shock's extended swingarm, was great on all except an advanced motocross track, it was hard for me to adjust the attitude once in air, had alot of wrecks b/c of that. other than that they are sick machines.
