Default New to it all HELP??

I have just got my first giant A top Flite p51 Mustang Arf. I am planning on using a Dl-55 for power but I am confused on servos. I have flown .60 size warbirds for almost a year and servos were not an issue. this is my first giant and my fourth plane .The manual says 50 OzIn min should they be metal gear or not? I am flying a Spektrum DX7 if that matters. Help the noob please. My order of progression is H9 F22 Raptor PTS, then a CMP .60 P51 Mustang, then A TF .60 F4U Corsair kit(whew that was a fun experience) and now a TF p51 Giant Mustang ARF. Is this too soon for a giant??

hey warbird put the best servos u can afford in your plane.for piece of mind if the manuel says 50 oz.then put 75-100oz in. metal geared or titanium geared really dosent matter as long as they are good quality.with the bigger planes it just does not make any sense to put the wrong servos(lower quality) me personally hitec makes a good servo have them on my aw 260 50cc and putting them in my qq 101in your dx7 will be fine. your power system ie:batterys keep that simple 1 ign. batt say a 1600ma and two 2600 ma with 3 hd switches 1 for ign. and 2 for a redundtant setup. there is awealyh of info on this site and generally nice people to help u with any question u may have hb

What he said. I have great luck with simple Hitec 645 MG's. They are inexpensive ($30 -$35) and have plenty of torque for your application. They center better than the digital version, I know I have both on the same plane. With this plane they would be more than enough.
