Default Saving D/L models in reflex

I am having difficulty in saving downloaded models in reflex. the models can be flown by inserting the model type and the motor sound, but after " saving" the next time it is selected the message says "not available" . Any help would be greatly appreciated. i am not adept in computer operation, but i could follow a detailed explanation. i am sure someone in our fraterinity has achieved this task that i cannot.

Hey! Another Reflex flyer! Sometimes I wonder if there's more than a dozen of us on the planet.

All your plane file will be stored under the Flugzeug folder, which is under the REFLEX folder, which is most likely under C:\program files.

All the files needed to fly a plane are typically kept together in a folder under Flugzeug.

For example, the files for the Katana are kept under the ..\REFLEX\Flugzeug\Exclusiv Modellbau Katana folder. (the ..\ refers to the location where you installed your Reflex program, most likely C:\Program Files)

Your parameters file *.PAR (what you want to save) should be stored in the same folder as the plane you are modifying. In the example above, you would save your modification in the ..\REFLEX\Flugzeug\Exclusiv Modellbau Katana

Most likely, you successfully saved your .PAR file, just not where Reflex can use it. Do a search for *.PAR on your hard drive and I bet it turns up in an unlikely place. Then just drag it to the correct Flugzeug folder and it should work OK.

Hi Mike,
I appreciate your reply [of which there has only been a few]. no solution has been forthcoming. my computer expertise is limited[71 and my marbles are rolling off the table] The model can be flown by adding the" model type" and "engine sound" A search found the model ["Favourite"--------- amoungst the Flugzeug folders [recently d/l from rc-sim] What do i have to do with "*.PAR" and whether to right or left click, double or single click when opening in the flugzeug folder "save" screen . I have even tried to add an extension to the name.
The site of Burkhard Erdlenbruch is worth a good look ---many versions of various model types.[ particularly if you appreciate classic models]

eagerly anticipate whatever you can suggest,

Oh boy....I'm really not sure where to start. It seems like you're asking how to save a file in Windows? Is there nobody you know who can walk you through that? It really would be best to get some basic hands-on coaching from someone locally.

thanks Mike, it appears that i am the one "still trying". I will not give up.The search resulted in three entries. one showed the folder icon, the other two showed the same icon as the rest of the models. One of those could be opened and held only a wave file. i may have to resort to reinstalling reflex and the hundreds of models. this i have been reluctant to do. normal saving has not presented any problems
thanks for your information

Hi Mike, after your last posting ,i had a close scrutiny of the d/l model names and the file names . some were Favourit F3A.------- Favourit F3ADoppledecker.-----F3A Favourit. The last combination worked . There were two different names in Rcsim.de from where it came. i thank you wholeheartedly for stirring up my grey matter and pointing me in the right direction
