Default Wing Explosion at 170ish mph

Well, here's the before and aftermath of a wing failure at 170ish mph. happened about a month and a half ago. the replacement has already arrived if i could ever get the time away from work to finish it.

Before:

After:

In this photo you can see the forward fuselage split at the seam line.. this is where the 2 Rx and 1 ECu battery departed the airframe as the euro changed direction at a high rate of speed, but the batteries decided not to:

And in this photo, you can see the group of people in the background.. this is where the majority of the wing structure, lower engine hatch, turbine tailpipe, etc were found. The Main airframe was about 400 feet away. All 3 batteries were 250-300 feet down range from the airframe (closer to the photographer).

Overall, i wasn't to upset about it, as crap happens.. It was a pretty spectacular crash that luckily their was no fire as the turbine shut down immediately, and no one was injured. To bad no one got it on video...

Hi Thomas
This has been a problem with the euro for some time, there is a thread on RC Universe about it by Davin Gladwin.

Yea i found out about the problem shortly before the incident. I had intentions that day of staying home and performing the mods, but the weather was so nice i just had to go fly. shoulda listened to my brain.. oh well. The new euro i have is the evolution version, and this wont be a problem any longer as the entire engine hatch has been redesigned.
