Oh yes, Egde is definately flyable once again..... wasn't really a hard repair at all....
Everything that I knew was accurate, and Allan tought me how to piece the leading
edge of the wing back in with some new wood...

Crazy weather this year anyways.... arrrrrrg....

Yeah, I'm a little disapointed with the weather for this weekend too....
Wanted to go to Willard, since I'm also a member there, and participate
in thier fly in too...... maybe tomorrow???? (2 day show)

I figured I'd just work on the Edge this morning since the weather
was suckin'.... 100% rain and 15-25mph winds... yuk....
Allan W. tought me a few more covering tricks with the monokote...
Was worth staying in for the day.... And the wife whipped up one
heck of a Lasagna lunch w/ homemade breadsticks!!!!

Here are the before and after pictures of Nelly's Edge! Big thanks to Allan and Ken for the speedy recovery on the Edge. The boo-boo sticker helped out a lot.

good to see the edge ready to go again. wind was blowing pretty good today, but nothing that my little foamy couldn't handle. i think i got 6 flights on the foamy and 3 on the quickie. had a few other brave soles out flying also, including an 11-1/2 ft' wingspane c-130.

No I haven't hit it with CA yet. Of course it was able to be slid right back into position just after I landed. Just pulled CA hinges loose.
And yes, the reason for delay is because I had to leave town. I was off to Texas for the week.
I am home now, and plan on doing some airplane work sometime soon. I have a lot of work to do that has added up.
Glad to hear Nelly has her Edge back!!!!!! "The plane that is" She never lost her own!

Nelly was out flying Pinky and 1946 J3 Cub full scale plane flew with her for a few seconds. Here find out it was one of our friends flying over checking out Nelly's flying. He said Pinky looks go from way up there. Here are the pics of the two flying together.

Here pictures from the field on 7-30-09. Nelly did her first complete rolling circle with Pinky. Then Pakratt and Nelly did a father, daughter rolling circle together that was really cool to see. By the end of the night she did consecutive rolling circles with her Dad. They are an awesome team to watch fly. They amaze me ever time they go up together.

This was the brother of our very own member Allan Weichman piloting the J3 Cub with Allan in the back seat.... What timing to be able to get a shot of Nelly and the Weiker cub in the air together!!!!

This plane is based out of Weiker Airstrip just outside of Green Springs, OH.... lots of history
in this aircraft.... the wings are dated back to WWII and there are many other various parts from
all over the place that went into the plane when Oliver Weiker was restoring this plane a while back....
Nelly and I are still awaiting our ride in this very plane.....
