I stopped by the Willard club while out and about last week,
it sure does feel like "the field of dreams"... I was waiting for people
with airplanes to start walking out of the corn.... "if you build it, they will fly"... LOL

i think it took longer to find my way out of the field that what it did to find the plane. easy to get turned around when all you can see is corn all around. ended up tieing my cell phone to the tail of my plane, turned on the video camera, held plane up over top of corn and was able to spot the windsock. think i may carry a compass with me from now on.

Excellent thinking with the cell phone/ cam trick..... that was brilliant!

next tuesday should be my last vacationland band practice for the year, will have my tuesday's free untill end of october when north coast concert band starts up. think i may have to join up with the tiffin club and come fly with you guys on tuesday evenings. i will not have to worry about a corn field eating my planes at your field.

The last field trip to Recker's was too much fun. I got to see Nelly and Pakratt fly that was awesome. Kitman and Jarhead flying was really cool to see and of course George Matthew got my Heli fix on. George even gave me a hug that was a bonus. Of course I can not forget my sunburn..... OUCH!!! But my favorite part had to be, Jason Miracle turning me in to a road sign.
I look good don't I!!!
I'm glad we are friends and not his enemies. I won't look good as a toad.
Rain date is Sunday Aug. 9th. So I hope to see some people there. Let's get the party started at the Eagle Squadron Field. I am ready to goooo.
