Yes, I will be putting the Brillelli on it for now. I want to go through the Yak and put it on a diet! I think Im going to remove some of the sheeting and make it more like your Xtra. I dont think I need all the sheeting along the bottom areas. Also think I'll weigh the two batt packs for the radio and compare it to a single larger Mah batt. I also have to check out the engine box. I think it's pulling loose a bit?!
I think I'll order the new plane tomorrow. Might have it done in a couple days and get a few test flights in before the Big Bird show. I'll be in Fremont all next week so a stop by the field along the way home is in the cards!!!

Jim

Cool.... that gt46 will sling that thing around...
my 46gt is flinging my extra around nicely.... at 15lbs

~ As far as the sheeting.... I agree.... all I have on the bottom of mine
is the two 1/4" former rails that run from the gear mount back to the tail...
no sheeting at all.... I bet you could get at least a pound out of yours....

Oh yeah, Hoover... don't forget that I"m still babysitting your other futaba 6exa radio here...

I'm in the shop right now mounting the wing on the new prototype Spad540 finally....
Test flights will be done with the ©~Pakratt Power~® Ryobi 30cc conversion...
(the one that hovered the original Green and Orange "bigmo"....
Hopefully I can start putting my radio gear in by tomorrow....

Oh, Forgot to metion to you... I also put together a Carbon Fiber Spa3dt plane as well..... Its cool all black Coro and the C/F fuse. I put the EVO .61 on it last night and only need to get a batt located for CG then a couple zip ties for the fuel tank. Should be ready to test out tomorrow!!!!
I'm debating on using a landing gear or not.... The Coro is heavy stuff for 3D flight,,,, Might leave the gear off for weight savings???

Schwing!!! -- 'bout time...... that Decathlon is just screaming "fly me"....
I look forward to it..... keep the fingers X'd for the weather, and we'll
get some air under it's wings before the meeting.... yehaww!

************************************************** ********
~~~Hopefully I'll have the Spad540 out there Tuesday as well.... I just fired it
up.... took off like a champ! --- 2 more wing bolts and then it's radio install time!
So far it's looking like a 14lb aircraft with everything sitting into the fuse..
.... don't ask me how I did that with a 84" Gasser spad... wow!!!!
My biggest / lightest one yet! Hoping it stays at this weight after all said and done!
' Yall keep in mind my Orange-a-saurus Huckin' hoverer spad -(LOL)- is 17.5 lbs... and
smaller in size...
Well Hoover, if it doesn't make the TORCM Big Bird, you allways have the Napolean Huckfest...
