with the lights on it... had some issues with the plane, (wing warped or something) so I retired it. Untill I can get it fixed. ![]() I would say the best and most acceptable night fliers would be electric, due to possible noise issues... My Decathlon has a Saito .82 on it, but mostly I just cruised around 1/2 throttle, and no one got upset...... even had a few good compliments.... My ultimate goal is to light up my Mini Funtana X.... that's gonna be a riot! Gotta respect the very few neighbors we have, as they are awesome people!!! Night flying is totally awesome, and I encourage it... So far, I'm the only in in the TORCM club that has successfully and repeatedly accomplished many night flights.... (hmmm... UFO reports over Seneca County, Ohio????) And yes, if there are at least two foamies that show up, we'll do a bash'em demo! The more, the merrier... Spread the word.... This could be a blast... I enjoyed the foamy bashat the Napolean Ohio Huckfest last year.... I think we started out with about 20 foamies!!! We are also planning on a Foamy bash at the Big Bird Fly-in during August too as a noon-time fun session... |

Hmmm... this felt good...Had lots of pure FUN!!!! |

Well, another Saturday is coming up on us....(7-27-09)
tomorrow morning somewhere around 9:30 am Nelly and I should be out there @ TORCM tearing up the skies.... Hopefully I can work on some more hovering and tail touches... ![]() Also; Nelly got her new 7C Futaba-2.4ghz radio that I ordered for her from UPS today.... tomorrow is the test in the Pink Dragon, and if we like it, it goes into her new Edge 540!!! I hear a maiden comming up very soon.... Just have a couple linkages to hook up, then to ballance the plane, and program radio.... |

Well, the scoop is in!
My wife is getting ready to post some pics here in a bit of some of the activities today.... had a nice little crowd.... We all love pics!!! And now..... here are the results of the new Futaba 7C 2.4gig radio... ITS A KEEPER!!!!!! Nelly loves the functionality and the feel.... The only bad thing is now I have to pick up another reciever, because she won't let me take this receiver out of the pink dragon to put it in the Edge..... Field Trip.... off to the hobby shop to pick up another reciever, unless I have to just order it..... Yeeeeehaw!!! LOL |

We took Nelly out flying today at 10:30 am and finally at 7:15 ( after her batteries in her radio died) she let us pack up to leave. She out flew her father, only because he was flapping his jaws. You think women can yak, they have nothing on Pakratt.

the sun is just over your right shoulder behind you..... We face to the south when we are flying.... if you look at the pic attached you can see where the sun is around about 6pm-ish..... |

Update on Nelly's Great Planes 27% Edge 540 that I've been puting together...
After my oldest daughter's gratuation party on Saturday July 4, and then some family business on Sunday around mid-day......... Nelly and I got the first maiden flight in on Sunday Evening ...July 5, 2009... The next two flights were hers alone.... I gotta say this plane actually flew perfect...only about 3 clicks down elevator trim and one click right aileron... and then it was like it was on rails.... no bad habbits, and a real joy to fly!!! The only drawback on this aircraft is the wing... (one piece 78")... bummer... but at least I've got the trailer to carry it, and the airframe was the right price.... I think we can live with it.......LOL |
