Default 2009 Twin Cities IMAC Classic June 13-14

OK guys its time for the 2nd Annual TCIC. We up in the lower Great White North are gearing up for a great contest eh, Once again it will be held at Tri-Valley RC Rosemount MN. We will have very nice trophy's for all calsses including high-points and 1st in freestyle. We will be flying the freestyle on Saturday after the precision concludes. We realize this contest is a haul for some of you guys; however we think this contest does offer something for the whole family should you decide to make this a weekend family get away. We have the Mall of America, with the Water Park of America(and hotel) right next to it. Both of these are 35 minutes from the field. Downton Minneapolis and St Paul are also about 35 minutes away from the field. There is alot to do within an hour of the field. There will be a pilot BBQ/Potluck at my house in Burnsville Sat night after the Freestyle. I will supply the burgers and brauts for the main course. It should be a good time to BS and look at the unknowns. I will also make available my garage and shop for anyone needing a place for any repair work.

Link to see field

The best place to stay will be the Americainn in Apple Valley. Its about 15 minutes from the club. Bordering cities are Apple Valley Eagan, and Burnsville which also have hotels if needed.

Hotel

Waterpark

We are looking forward to having you guys up here to Land of 10,000 lakes. Check this thread for updates as we get closer to the big weekend. If you get a chance please pre-register at the IMAC website. Please PM any question to myself or Ratt Belly (Jason Dumke).

Jason and Andy did a great job last year with this contest. It was worth the drive for me.
See you guys in a couple weeks.

I'm looking forward to it. It should be a good time and it's nice that its close to home so I don't have to drive very far to give it a try in my first contest.

Actually if you took away a thumb and finger flyers radio and stuck in some knitting needles it would probably look the same.

I flew my yak today finally. It flew good but it so damn windy it was hard to tell. Very good power on the 150 re3 setup. Thank goodnes it didnt seem to really need any of that pound of wood I took out.
