Default Rick Byrd's126in Carden Extra 300

I finally put the graphics on took some pics. I have about 20 flights or so and the plane keeps getting better and better.

The plane was built by Dean Nistetter. Not sure of the weight on the plane. Doesn't matter to me the plane flies light. Here is what is in it.

Futaba 9157's all the way around. 2 per wing, 1 per elevator. 3 on the rudder. Probably doesn't need it. I will test later. 9602 on throttle and choke
6014 2.4 rec. on a Smart Fly Power system competition 12 turbo with Smart Fly heavy duty switches, FlightPower batteries
DurantDirectDrive for controlling all the flying surfaces
DA 170 MTW RE3 pipes swinging a 29x12N 3 blade prop
J&J tailwheel assembly
covered in monokote with B&E Graphics to finish it off

I want to thank all my sponsors for all there support over the years. A special thanks to my builder. This was his first build for someone other than himself. It was a pleasure to work with Dean and bounce ideas off of. That and he knew I would never get the plane done with new born twins in the house. Thanks Dean!!! I can't wait for the next adventure. Also thanks to Dennis and Caroline for answering mine and Dean's questions. I believe we learned a lot from each other.

Enjoy!

Rick

Congrats Rick and Dean! The plane looks great. I also (yesterday) bought all my graphics through http://www.bandegraphix.com/ It is hard to communicate exactly what you want in a graphic (height, width, colors, etc). With the B & E website, you actually build your graphics and see all the colors. When you get then, the multi-color graphics are all layed up and you just have to lay a single layer on.

thanks,
Jim

Thanks Marian! I will be camping at the site this year. Can you save me a spot? We'll be getting in late Saturday.

Jim you are right! The B&E graphics site is a piece of cake to navigate and get exactly what you want. They were great to work with.
