The plane, engine and canister were $840, delivered from China (7 days).
The cowl was made by laminating 1/2" balsa profiles to the existing cowl's base and then shaping to what you see now.
What else do you want to know?

Hi Adarsh;

The flight characteristics are pretty good, but mine is heavy from the mods so, they'd probably be better if it was 18 Lbs instead of 20.

The full-size Turbine Toucan has squared-off wing tips which I haven't duplicated yet. I'm not a big fan of the built-up tips (gussets and formers) because even small vartiations from one side to the other can make the stall characteristics one-sided. There's less chance of that with a squared-off tip.

Mine will hover and pull out fine, with the right prop, and flat-spins, waterfalls, etc. all behave pretty well.

A few accessory weaknesses in the stock kit were:

1. Very thin/flimsy F-G wheel pants (I made my own from Balsa/Ply);
2. Fuel Tank stopper not for Gas (Replaced with a Dubro Gasoline tank);
3. Provided wheels are too light-duty (Replaced with tougher wheels);
4. Not enough rudder control/tail flying-wire provided
5. FRP tail wire joiner too weak (replaced with aluminum);

Other than that, it went together pretty well.

CElkins;

Other than the weight mentioned earlier; It 3D's nicely. Rolls are "lightning-fast" at full aileron throw and I'm now flying wih a lot of EXPO so i don't have to keep flipping switches.
There's some rocking in Harriers and I've added some up-aileron to compensate.
Knife edge requires a lot of mixing, especially at slow speeds. I've got ail and elev mixed in to compensate but it needs more and more as you get deeper into the knife.
The flat spins recover quickly and the speed of regular, inverted spins can be doubled by relaxing on the elevator
One show I was at had a 100cc Pitts Python that only weighed 26 Lbs and it was a rocket. That's only about 30% heavier than mine with twice the HP! I'd say that'sprobably the better way to go.
