Yep. That's what happens when you go to do one at 100mph+ and forget to flip to high rates. The bottom of the case was still stuck to the velcro.

The 6100e might be a good foamy receiver but it works well in most of these type planes. I am using a 6000 in a 70mm edf jet and get it pretty far out. I am also using 6100es in a lot of my electrics without any problems. Most of my flying is upclose, but I get them pretty far away too. 6100 works just fine.

This plane is supposed to have a different type of construction than used in past EF planes. Have you guys taken a look at how the wings, and stabs are built up? Here is a quote from the EF website:

Huge airfoiled control surfaces utilizing geodetic construction provide the ultimate in yaw, pitch and roll authority.

How about a comment, and possibly some pictures of this. Do you think it is better than standard ribbed construction?

Hey Steve! How are ya bud? I think they just found some fancy wording to say that the fin/rudder and stab/elevator are built up airfoils instead of the usual, small, flat stab and fin truss construction as most smaller planes have. It looks like someone shrunk a 42%. The pics at the beginning of this thread show some good detail. I like the pics with the light behind the rudder and stab. They show the construction under the covering well. All the surfaces feel fairly stiff to be so small and light.

Yes, I have looked at it. It's really cool. When you hold it up to the light and look at the structure in the stabilizers, It looks like a honeycomb inside. It's very light and the all the interlocking pieces make it very rigid for the weight.

Hey Rob,
All is well here, working too much, flying too little.

The Passport and I are flying in our second pattern contest this weekend.

Still the best flying electric I have ever flown. For some reason, the pictures are not showing up in the tread for me. However, when I clicked on one it took me to a gallery where I could view them. It looks to me that the control surfaces are being built differently. Sort of a cross brace structure rather than a typical ribbed structure. Maybe lighter, and hopefully stronger. The carbon rods down the fuse, and supporting the motor box seem like a good thing as well. Chris seems to always be trying to improve things.

I see they are out of stock already. Are any dealers carrying this bird. Where can I buy? Only EF?

Anyone tried it with a Hacker setup, preferably the A30 14L?

I've got all the stuff for mine besides the motor, and the actual airplane. Guess I will be getting mine when the next shipment arrives. I'll be using the AR6100 receiver. Shouldn't have a problem with range.

Seth
