Ok guys, heres a real basic question, this is my first electric, would it be advisable not use a BEC and install a small battery pack for the servos and receiver? I'm reading through the threads and I notice some guys having these brown outs. What are the pros and cons. Il be running the recommended 5065mg's, the 820 motor and a 4s pack. Bob

Oh, is it better to run the 20c, 25c or the 30c batteries?

Neu 1110G 1Y with 6.7:1
Castle Creations ICE-75 ESC
EM-Distribution 30-35c 4S1P 2400mah Li-Po
Hitec 5065MG servos
AR 6200 RX
Isn't the neu too heavy? 2818/900 is have the weight. You could also use a smaller and lighter ESC coupled with smaller batteries. That's my 5 cents.

Just use the set up they sell in the combo. It works great. I had a brown out due to simply having the wrong ESC. It only happened once and hasn't been an issue since I got the right ESC. Go with the Hitec servos, well worth it and seems even the cheap batteries work well. Just to recap my gear....
AR 6200 Rx with sat
4 Hitec HS5065MG
Torque/Airboss combo on a 12 x 6 APCE
Zippy 2200 4s
Works great together.

How many minutes of flight time are you getting out of the Zippy 2200 4s?

Bossier, sounds like using the combo is a no brainer. I went on the Hobby King site to look at the Zippy batteries. Do you use the 20C or 30C packs. What do you think the difference in performance would be. Bob

I have to use Neu and Castle for sponsors, that is just the combination I came up with that is best tailored to this airframe. 2 more ounces won't destroy the performance of the plane, plus it will have over 30oz more thrust.

I bought the 20C and there is NO lack of power. I don't know if a 30C would make much difference in performance or not. I know I can stay wot longer than I'll ever need it on the 20C. Mine rockets up like a homesick angel. My eyes aren't good enough to see it go straight up for more than a few seconds and I'm 20/20, in my good eye lol. Also, the Elite 45 has a built in bec already.

No, they're on a sheet. Other than that, EF couldn't have done a better job on this masterpiece. You NEED one. :-)

The decal sheet supplied is nice, Vinyl would only add weight....and you dont need the decals to be "Fuel-Proof" unless of course you just want yours to look different....

Personally, I'd use the ones that are included. Like Blair said, it would be less weight. Just my opinion though. Btw, if you need to get graphics, I'd go with B&E. ;-)
