I am interested in getting the 35% Katana. I know they are not out yet and i heard its soon. Somebody probably has flown the prototype or a first production run. Can you please tell me about the construction. Can tuned cans or pipes be installed? How does it do in 3D? Will a DA 100 fit in the cowl without cutouts? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Smokey |

Now that you say it, I never hear too much about the 35% Katana.
Theres always the other 35% Katana, what is it? An Aero-works? Aero-Tech?

Smokey,
I've talked to Sammy and he tells me the 35% Katanas are on the tables, ready for covering. They should be in the country mid. March, but please don't tie me or Sammy to that date. If they are on the table in final stages, Garrett has flown them and given them his blessing, so you pretty much can take that to the bank, considering previous history. If you can wait 2-3 months, I would if I were you. You know with Aviation Models you'll get a first class product, backed by first class service, and tested by the top 3 fireman in his class (sorry Garrett, getting giddy here), OK, I'm doing a little selling, but prove me wrong.

I know they will be at the wram show. I hope Sammy has one to display or possibly sell. I like the idea of not paying for shipping..
I wish Garrette would chime in here and give his report.Smokey |

Smokey, the Katana's have not been brought into the states yet. There was a batch of them shipped over to Germany but other than that no other production planes have been built. Only reason they have not been brought to the market was because the demand for all our different size planes is so great we could not stop production on them long enought to supply the Yaks. Aviation Models has bought yet another huge factory and should be getting it up and rolling here in the near future. I will be going over there this Tues. so I can find out more info for you and get back to this thread once I'm back.

Torquen....thanks for replying on this thread. Thanks to STR8HUCKIN for calling you.
Maybe i should tell you now what info i am looking for so you have something to look out for. I would like to know if you can install tuned pipes or cans. Is the fuel tank infront or right on the c.g.? What is the finished weight with what engine? Will it 3D well...(will it make me look good with my miserable abilities ). Thats all i can think of right now. Looking forward to your report and hopefully a video of this plane. Have a safe trip. Thanks Smokey |

I have one of the first batch of 35% Katana's on order......gonna have it done in the colors I wanted. RTF at 25-26 lbs with a DA-100 it sould be a balistic machine. I have flown and seen quite a few of the Aviation Models Yaks (40%-37.5% and the 30%) and I dont think you will find a better ARF out there IMO

Dear smoky:
About katana 33% from krill you can see more informations in: www.krill-model.com and you can see that it is sold in Portugal in www.aerocarcontrol.com. To portugal the transport cost is 200 euros but if you want i can see who much is to England. This plane is fantastic and Krill have too soo many orders that sometimes need 3-4 months to answer to new orders. I will receive one Yellow/Red to sell in the end of this month. Thanks JM www.aerocarcontrol.com www.carcontrolmodelismo.com TEAM AEROCARCONTROL |
