Seems to me this is way LESS stressfull on everything involved with the airplane. And I mean everything. With the exception of maybe a 5-10 minute hover and lack of proper airflow over the engine. But excluding the engine everything else is having a very nice day.

For me it would seem to be more logical for higher speed stuff stressing the airframe and servos more. A 15 G turn and high speed snap comes to mind. And lot of IMAC stuff has got to be harder on the plane.

Or am I just not getting it ?
Nope. You are not getting it. IMAC stresses the engine, not the plane. 3D stresses the plane and engine. 3D is not only slow high alpha. When was the last time you used full deflection during full throttle in IMAC? I have never had stuff come loose flying IMAC, but it doesnt take long for the horizontal stabs to "wear in" performing "Violators". It is a full speed, full 3D rate manuver that literally stops the plane in its tracks, it tumbles in a gyroscoptic rotation and continues to fly out of it. Only Yaks are capable of doing it properly for some reason. Nothing else does it right. I have pics of it in frame by frame. The camera only takes less than half a second of time of pics, so keep in mind that by the time the 43lb plane is facing the opposite direction, half a second has gone by. Thats ALOT of force. It litarally does stop in its tracks. If you have acess to the 2005 XFC video, it is demonstrated in there. The only documented video of it thus far, but there are performed all the time at our field. It makes an eerie sound.

Yes it is , all aluminum, and fully aerobatic.

OK back to the Laser)

Roger, how will you finish your landing gear? I painted my landing gear but you have the good aluminum that will look outstanding with a buff shine. I intend to do this when I switch mine out and get a set of 2024 from Jack.

Tony, I haven't really thought about this but buffing it might a good idea,

Roger
