No problem I love the Sbach also, but this laser is completely plans built with modification, and I really screwed up on the canopy, as you very well can see, but it will have to do , also elongated the nose to accomodate the lighter Turbo prop engine .

At this stage , the CG is bang on, still need to put the control rods on the elevators and all boost tabs. weld exhaust extensions, and go flying when the field is ready.

Cool stuff there Roger! Congrats on your project's progress.

I'll have to go back a few pages and get caught up on your "triumphs and tribulations". "

Those Laser 200 cockpits, way too small for my liking!

I weighed the airplane , and it came out at 26lbs, right where Jack said it would be, but it did surprise me.

Here are a few pictures of the exhaust extensions I had to fabricate , and install using a spot welder I made, it worked quite nicely. Also the new power box with built in 3 electronic failsafe switch, dual servo power buss, and Fiber optic control.

Wow Roger
Would you be kind enough, if you have time, to explain the spot welder materials and a schematic of the electrical components?
Thanks

Hey Jack here is a drawing of the setup. This one works great but here a few observations.

First this is for very thin material such as stainless or regular metal shim material in this case .006"

thicker material will take a lot more current and drain the battery much faster.

While I was doing this, I had a Charger set to 15 amp charging and making only a few spots at a time.

Another observation , with the rubber bands to keep the pressure, make sure there isn't too much pressure as this will not work well and you will not get a good weld.

Hope this helps.
Roger

It is about models, he simply doesn't understand Jack, but Jack is an OK guy, I have learned a lot from him.....
