I like the JR DS811/821. But any standard servo will work. It just depends on how fast you want the servo to be and if you want plastic vs metal gears. I like the above servos because they are cheaper and fast, though they are loud. They are plastic gear but I run 8411's on my larger planes without issue as well (though I do try to switch the gears to 8411sa which is an all plastic set).

I was using standard servos in mine, Futaba S3304 ( 0.19 sec/60° @ 6.0V ).
I have changed to Hitec HS-6965HB servo. .08 sec/60° / 111.09 oz.in @ 6.0V , weight is 1.83 oz. What a differance, the high speed makes all the differance in the world. Throttle response is on tap as fast as you move the stick. The speed is well worth the extra $$$'s.

Look at the Futaba S9650. It's a digital mini that weighs .92oz, .11 transit time, 63oz of torque all at 6 volts.

Any standard servo will work fine. I personally don't find anything wrong with plastic gears, but karbonite would work well if you dont want to shell out for MG's.
