I remember seeing 1 or 2 PRC planes arrive in ply boxes. I have no idea why they are being shipped in cardboard now.

BTW, how is the 260 flying? Are you still flying in the Albuquerque contest?

This kinda irks me cause I just ordered a custom scheme Extra 260 from Pilot-RC a couple of weeks ago with the confidence that it would be packed well and shipped from China in a wooden box as was documented with Show871's pictures...

Here is hoping DHL will ship more safely to Montreal, Canada.

He may be an arse but you got to admit that there is funny. I must admit I often wonder why a guy gets a 40% plane and starts complaining because there is no manual . I figure if you cant build it with out a manual your in over your head. Or the guys needing a template for their DA so they can mount the motor.

Steve, don't let some people who are a pain in the a$$ ruin this thread. I'm watching and so are others who can appreciate someone like yourself who spend the extra time doing a thread. Some people complain about being hung even w/ new ropes!

Just keep rockin' on with the thread dude. I don't mind blasting trolls for you.

I can't imagine shipping planes in wooden boxes from China. When we export from here to there we have to use hardwood pallets that are fumigated or heat treated to keep our critters here in our own country. I would hope it's the same for imports. Besides the weight difference would seriously increase the costs. A double wall corrugated box is pretty strong but nothing should be subject to the kind of abuse that your plane suffered. You gotta go outta your way to tear up a box like that. Sadly it was probably some jerk here at one of our airports that did it. Maybe the ones shipped in crates are from a warehouse or dealer stateside.

Anyway, by all means, get on with it man!!!
