8.4v is the top voltage of a LiIon or LiPo 2 cell pack.......

Yes as Exeter said, I meant a fully charged LiOn is 8.4V with a nominal operating voltage of 7.4V.

that's interesting !!

i have 7955's on all surfaces except for throttle where i have a 6245 (using LiFe batteries 6.6v). i'm sure a lot of people would have the same sort of setup, a lower torque servo on throttle. so the 7955's can handle it but what about other servos?

I'm running the 7955's on all surfaces except throttle where I'm running a standard JR digital.

For that one I'm using one of these...

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...odID=SPMVR5203

It's meant for helicopter gyros that have problems with the high voltage but can be used for whatever you want. It does two channels which I was going to use the second channel for my Smart-Fly Ign cut off but I emailed Smart-Fly and he said they will handle the voltage fine.

I've been using it on my throttle since the plane was new and it works great.

You could also use this for the throttle.

Question Re: Anyone Using 7955's on 8.4V LiOn???

Awesome, thanks Gents. Btw, what about a DA170 ignition. Can I run a LiOn direct on that too?

Thanks

Robert
