Default Best Way to Find a Field

Our current field is being crowded out by soccer fields, been there 30 plus years , but unfortunately it's town property and there's more of them then us, we'll be out soon. Have been looking for about a year now without success.

Looking to get ideas from those who have been successful in their search, leasing or purchasing. Did you work with real estate people, put an ad in the local paper, exactly how did you come by the property? It seems as though even if we won the lottery we couldn't find anything to buy.

Is the city at all interested in helping you? We swung an agreement that if they move us they will provide the land for a new field. Be leery of landfills, A club I was in had a nice field at the landfill, about the time we had it all fixed up good, the city threw us out becasue the air quality was poor due to the off gassing of the landfill...

I like the logic, What's a acre worth to a farmer in the northeast?

Try going to the town council and asking them for another site. Let them know that you are all voters too. It worked for us. We got booted out of one county site and they found us a new one and paid to fix it all up as we had paid to fix up the first one they booted us out of. Our site is now a county park for RC flying.
