Default How's this plane?

Hey guys,

I want to build another plane, I was looking at the Dalton 42% Extra 300. Has anyone else build or flown it? How does it build or fly?

You should try using the search feature on Flying Giants. Dalton's are very popular and among the best aerobatic planes money can buy. There is a lot of info on FG about them.

You should buy the Dalton. I'd go with the M. L. edition because of the better IMAC characteristics. Reason: 40+ %'ers don't 3D as well as 35%'ers (and you'll have a lot less tied up in a 35% arf). Save the 3D for the 35's and go with the 9" longer M. L. I've seen these Daltons fly while judging Unlimited. They're the straightest flying airplanes that I've seen. They lock on like no other and present like a pattern ship!

Well I would have to disagree with you. Every 40%+ plane I have flown 3D's just as well if not better than a 35%. Extra's in general are better IMAC planes and are alright for 3D. If you want 3D go Edge 540 or Yak. Just my opinion, however.

3d wise. 40% can fly slower and easier in 3d. but 35% is much more manuverable and can fly slow but not as slow as 40%

Daltons fly great. I flew the 42% 260 with a DA-170 on KS cans. Sounded great and flew like a pattern plane on low rates but 3Ds just amazingly.
