Default Pegasus IMAC Challenge (Maryland)

Well, this will be fast upon us! There is a thread started in the NE section of the IMAC site and I wanted to put up a reminder here.

Contest dates are July25th and 26th with the field being open for practice on Friday the 24th.

Directions to the field are easy to find on club website. www.pegasusrc.com is the link.

There are 10 rooms that are held at $55 a night until one week before the contest at the closest hotel. These are for one to four people. Hotel information is as follows. (I talked to Nicole)

Super8
1220 Dual Highway
Hagerstown, MD
(301) 739-5800

If you are not pre registered but are thinking about coming out, please visit the registration page on the IMAC site.

The thread on the NE IMAC forum is asking for some feedback on activity options. Put in your thoughts and I hope to see you there.

For people in the northern section of the SE, this is an easy location to drive to. Come on up and join us, we would love to have you.

If you have any questions, reply to these threads or shoot me a note!

Great to hear guys.

Neil, I do not know what your schedule is, but you are welcome to come out to the primer. I am sure your input would be appreciated. You too Robert, I just mentioned it to Neil first because he is a little closer.

Be sure let me know soon what your thoughts are on the lunch menu and the dinner option for Saturday night. Robert, will you be camping this time or are you thinking AC might be nice at the end of July?

Just some more information on lodging.

There is also an EconoLodge right across the street from the other hotel I listed. Rates look to be similar in starting point.

Most other hotels in the area like Holiday Inns, Comfort Inns and Hampton start at the $100 a night range.

Sinergy, glad to hear you should have something up and flying. OPP is cool but it is nice to get grooved to your own plane.

OK, we had our IMAC primer today and had a good turnout. Looks like we will have some of the club members flying with us.

A couple of things I would like to update.

Dinner on Saturday. We have found a local facility that some of the club members frequent. (The Stadium) There is a room there that can handle up to 50 people and we have it for that night. The food is reported to be good, they have a full spectrum of beverages available and the prices are reasonable. So there is a dinner option for anyone interested. I am tentatively setting a time of 7:30. I am hoping that we will have flight operations completed in time for everyone to get cleaned up and out there to join us.

For anyone interested in a little later entertainment, I talked to some of the guys in the club and it looks like there will be a night fly on Saturday evening. There is a little squadron of glow powered planed that are all LEDed up and the runway gets illuminated with candles and they have at it. Fun to watch.

See you there!

The time is here! Looking forward to a great week. It looks like there will be a battle royale in the basic and sportsman class area as they will be well over half the pilot count!

:22a: Mark M ( Aerobat ) and myself will be leaving around noon today. Should put us there about 2:30 or 3. What time can we fly til? I just installed a new engine and had to move batterys around so I need to so some trimming.

Well, that depends on if you have light on the plane. Oh, and you may need some windshield wipers late this evening......

You can fly as light permits. The field will be open flying today for club members and guests.
