Hope everyone is planning to make the Love-Air IMAC Championship July 18-19. AeroWorks has stepped up with a generous financial contribution in a tough year to make the entry fee low and the food free. The world class flying site is scenic at the foot of the Rockies, the preregistration is up, and the plans are made. Check out the event flier at loveairrc.com for more info. We are working hard to make this a hassle-free event with a focus on flying.
See you there. Jim Brink CD |

Maybe if Mark Dennis would let me fly one of his planes I would fly up for it.

This was an excellent competition. Kudos to Aeroworks for sponsoring the event. The food was great and the fellowship was top notch and there were quite a few spectators that came out to take in the action. The weather, which can sometimes quickly turn for the worst in this part of Co, cooperated nicely over the whole weekend. Two rounds of freestyle provided some great entertainment.
I took some pictures over the weekend. Here's a few from Friday's practice: |

Sunday was a beautiful day for a contest. There was only one mishap that soured the day between Kim's 260 and Mike Scileppi's Aeroworks Ultimate. Put's a damper on the day when you hear the tell tale sound of balsa on balsa.
There was also a case of broken prop bolts on Bill Adams Aeroworks 260 but he landed the plane without any more damage than a prop cut by the spinner. A testament to the strength of Mejlik props. He was back in the air for the final round.More pictures. |

Nick,
I hear that you will be invoicing Bill a couple hours of labor for getting the prop bolts out! Nice job on the win in Advanced. Diminishing Skills....... I mean Bill....... cough...cough.....excuse me...... will be practicing like crazy now, because you know how he hates to loose! |

I would also like to publicly thank Bodywerks. After my mishap with the prop bolts on my 150, he worked tirelessly for over an hour getting the broken bolts out of the hub so I could fly my afternoon round. To top that he was working on it so I could fly against him in the last round. You are a class guy Nick, Thanks again and thanks to Mike G. and Kevin for the use of the drill and bits Bill |

![]() I think you and I are pretty decent pilots, but let's face it - come shootout time we'll be battling for 5th place - Those dang youngsters always blow right past us, LOL!

I am not giving up that easily at the Shootout. I think if I work really really hard, and practice tirelessly, I can maybe compete for like 4th place or something........ I know I know, lofty goal, but a guy can dream can't he.....

If you fly like you do in practice you will be fine but if the alter ego (Diminishing Skills) comes out like he does at a contest you are in trouble! You've seen that movie you need to take control of the other ego dammit!!!!
