HI Gang: Just wanted to share our new found "Killer" product! Plane Wrappers; what a great investment.Today at the stuart Florida field.. sun beating down i shot some temps... WOW!! What a difference .. the insides of the canopy area, and all of the goodies inside were showing temps of 140- to 160 with no covers on the plane. With the plane covers temps were 98-102 thru out the fuselage. The ambient temp was 89 -91 degrees, with a cloudless day and UV index of 10 for sure! .. No covering wrinkling etc., were expereinced when using these covers. Of particular amazement was when any breezes blew.. it would blow between the plane and the covering thus creating a cooling effect.. and the temps on the ultracote, and canopy further dropped. Monty, at the plane wrappers has got a winner going with this project!!

Caroline at Carden does the same thing....
Cost from Carden is in the 35% for $100, and 40% for $120. She also makes different sizes. Her covers will fit ANY aerobatic mono winged aircraft out there! Chris~

No prices on their site? Hmm.. I really do like the wrappers though, especially the American flag one.. Might have to pick one up sometime, if the price is right

Hello Everyone from Plane Wrappers!
My apologies for not having the prices on the web site. The site is new and not quite complete. We are currently working on standardized pricing for the covers, but with so many colors & sizes, it has been difficult at best. Thank you to all who sent the inquiry on the covers. You should have a reply back now. Thanks for the field test Stephen! After a day at the field in the Florida sun, these covers should eliminate the need to re-shrink the covering, not to mention keeping the electronics at a safe temp. The idea of the airplane cover is not new, but everything else about our covers are. You can now have a cover in a color scheme to match your plane & style. This is something nobody else offers. The construction of the covers is also new. You can learn more about this by visiting www.planewrappers.com The cost on a 40% cover is $130.00 with your choice of color. We also offer embroidery of the pilots name at a flat rate of $.75 per letter to further personalize your cover. If you would like to see our covers and are going to Joe Nall, Look up Bob Shapiro with Composite-Arf. He will have several of these covers available. Thanks again & Happy Landings! Having seen both the Carden and the Plane Wrappers covers, there is a WORLD of differnce. Different matierial, different stiching (the Plane Wrappers stiching stretches)....
no comparison in my mind... I'll cover mine with a Wrapper! |

Great pictures Stephen. The embroidery did turn out well. Thanks for the Pic's.
Bob Shapiro gave me a great idea yesterday when I was dropping off the covers to send to the Joe Nall. He suggested we need to come up with a idea to store the covers wile they where not on the plane. Folding the covers back into the plastic bag they come packaged in has proven to be very difficult at the field. Sooooo. For ALL who have purchased the covers already, we will be sending you storage bags made of the same materials as your cover to keep it in. Should have in around 2 weeks. And for all quotes & new orders, of coarse, you will be getting this also at no extra charge. Thanks Bob! Great idea. Just another way to keep Plane Wrappers a step ahead of the rest. Monty. |
