Could you make a pocket attatched to the plane cover itself which is hid under the cover when the plane is covered but allows the cover to be stowed inside when the plane is not? Seems quite possible and would then make them the ultimate all inclusive covers.

Thought about that and it would be simple to do. I just thought it may be better to have the whole cover in a separate enclosure to protect the entire thing.
The down side to that would be...The separate bag would be just one more thing to keep track of. What would everybody prefer? 1) Pocket within the covers construction. 2) Separate bag made of the same materials? |

Yeah the one more thing to loose idea is the only reason why I suggested the pocket built in. I just think it would be perfect to have a one piece ready to go setup.
When I jumped with the British paratroopers they had their parachute kit bag attatched to the main chute so when you were done it was simple to pack your chute back up. On the other hand here in the US we still have to attatch our kit bag to ourselves making for one more thing to loose! Great idea and when Tony gets my plane back to me Ill have to order one up. |

I would vote for keeping the storage bag separate because my preference is to put the plane cover into my wing bags at the end of the day and I like the nice neat clean lines of the cover when it's mounted on the plane.

I would like a seperate bag it can take a little wear and tear rolling around the back of the trailer that I would not want on my cover.

Separate bag - I've had a jacket that crams into a pouch and the thing was always wrinkled from stuffing it in there. With a separate bag you can fold the cover up then slide it in the bag.

Pure insanity but if you had velcro on both the "bag" to hold the plane cover and the cover itself it would kill two birds with one stone. Kinda like the airwild wing bag can be two seperate bags or one:
The "bag" or pouch has hook and pile tape so it can shut and the plane cover has either hook or pile portion so as to allow attatchment and stowage of the plane bag while it is on the plane. Once the plane cover is removed un velcro your "pouch or bag" from the plane cover and place cover in bag which can then be closed and secured by the hook and pile tape. The pouch or bag portion could be at an extremity of the plane so as to not hang down and be concealed. Sounds crazy but it would work and make everyone happy. |

OK. here's the scoop.
I tried attaching the storage bag in two different locations under the cover. 1 - at the front of the plane where it would lay flat on top of the fuse. & 1 - attached to the top of the rudder so it would hang on the inside under the cover. Both locations did work, but, I wasn't satisfied with the way it looked or how functional it would be, Especially on the front. So the winner is............Separate bag's. Aviti, wrinkling the cover is not much of a issue. Once the cover is put on the plane, the wrinkles from the storage will disappear in a couple of minuets. Also, ( and the wife came up with this one )if you don't want to use the bag, you can fold (or stuff) the cover into the pockets on the wing tips. This actually works very well. Duhhh. why didn't we think of that. Any way, thanks for all the input, and the orders! Your covers will be there shortly. i saw these covers at the last imac contest i went too. there was also someone elses cover there. i compared the too of them and deturmined that by far the plane covers were the way to go. they didnt parachute as bad in the wind as the other companies, the material looked better, sticking and attachment looked way better and they look awsome and have a wide variety of color choices. great job monty and cant wait to get mine.

I'm eager to get my new plane in and order one of these covers. Will they fit a Comp ARF 260?
