Default What JR FM Reciever for 90 size plane

Hey guys, I wanted to know what reciever you are running in your 60-90 size glow birds I am flying a 90 size Edge and just switched from Futaba to JR so I don't know to much about JR stuff I have a 9303 Radio and 6 servo's in the Edge. What reciever would you use?

You could use a 700 ppm or a 770 pcm. both are very good receivers but you really dont need a pcm receiver with a glow motor.

A lot of guys over here have had probs with the r700 and 770's but thats on 36meg. I would go the 649 or r900 i think they are now. Least that way you will have a good RX when you step up to bigger planes

exelpoint, would care to elaborate on the issues with the 700 ans 770's?

Hi,
I can verify that we have had trouble with the R700 and R770. My experience has been intermittent failure on a single channel. The one I had ( R700) would shut down the throttle servo. Drove me nuts looking for an engine problem. Have seen several other members have problems. If you open up the case you will see that on the end circuit board a series of connections that are a push fit no solder. On the new syn receivers they have incorporated a clip in the outer case ,it would appear to hold this circuit board. To each his own but I have stopped using them.
