Yep, got three flights on it in some heavy wind 2 weekends ago. Seemed to handle the wind well and flew nice. Hope to get some trimming this weekend if the weather cooperates. Wish I went with the RE-3's as a bit more power would be nice, but I think it will be OK once my 170 comes in

I think it will be fine with mufflers. The plane flies very light but as you know is huge. My 170 is brand new and was only turning 5900 with a Menz 32x10 the first runup. By the first flight, it was up to 6100 RPM. As the rings seat, I am guessing it will have plenty of power. My other 170's just keep getting stronger. With the planes huge/draggy fuse, it would be nice to have the power of the pipes, but for simplicity, lack of pipeyness, cost and weight I chose to go with mufflers. This is the most complete, well though out ARF on the market (and I have had alot of them). Had a couple of minor first run issues, but overall the completeness and quality is something other manufacturers should strive for. Also, Ben took the time on a Saturday to answer a couple of preflight questions I had regarding balance etc. 3D You guys definitely do things like you plan/want to be around a while. Very impressed |

One other thing....I started assembly on a Tuesday night and had it ready to fly Saturday. EVERYTHING is pre thought out for you and the amount of prefab is phenomenal. My only serious complaint is that it needs a 5.5" spinner (ugggggh). So far, Dave Brown is the only company I can find that makes them
