Default New a123 2s 2300 packs

Hey guys.. I am looking to distribute some new a123 batteries.. They are 2s 2300 batteries and are real a123's with a 30c discharge. Also have a balance plug to balance charge and come with a deans ultra plug soldered on. I have been testing these and am looking to distribute them. They charge well and work great for us. Also price will be around 30 dollars which is almost half of the other brands. Just looking for some feedback on this as I am about to order some more to sell. Thanks, chad.

Sounds like a great price to me! As long as they are real A123 cells, that is a good deal. I just made a bunch myself out of bulk A123 cells, and by the time you have the cells, wiring, shrink wrap, battery bars, I was making them for about $21 a pack, but that does not include labor. That sounds like a great price.

What type of balance plug (what charger[s]) does it fit?

Hi Chad,

Re your request for feedback.

Pricing:
The price you suggest is really amazing, but of the many companies selling them, the only one I've seen that sell at anywhere near double is Duralite, and that is not an apples to apples comparison as they have balance chips built in.

So my feedback on your price is that while it draws a customer like me to see what you've got, your marketing, saying at $30 they will be around half the price of the other brands, pushes me away.

Connecter feedback:
Variety will serve more customers I think.

Deans connecters.
I fly a 110" Yak and run a pair of 2300's, into a pair of JR HD switches, into a single receiver.
On occasion, I've unwittingly flown the plane with one pack turned off, so the entire load of the 8 x Hitec 7955s was running through one switch and one little JR connecter........and I did not feel a performance loss. Given this, to me on my size plane, the Deans would offer no performance benefit, while at the same time being heaver, more expensive, and would require me to take time to make up leads to connect to it. If it where my only choice of connecter, I would shop else where.

Balancing.
I use an FMA cell pro charger and charge with a three wire balance setup. Again I use JR connecters as I like the ease uniformity and availability provides. Its easy to get ready made extensions so installing the packs and moving them about to alter the CG ( like if I change props ) is not a problem.

My way is by no means the only way or the best way for everyone, so I think a variety of connecters would be best to attract the most sales.

Good luck with your new venture. Please share a link when you get it going.

Thanks guys.. I just saw a void in the industry as all the REAL a123 2300 packs are near 50.00 and higher. These come from the factory with deans installed. The balance plug is the jst/align tap. I am trying to source adapters to convert from a thunder power/and fma cell pro balance charger. Like I say at 30.00 dollars were are looking at less than a good NIMH 6v pack around that capacity. i have been using them with great sucess. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks, chad.

Also The batteries balance plug fits right in the turnigy accucell 6/gt a6, accu cell 8.. I have been using the turnigy chinese charger with great success on my a123's and lipo's. Balances them within 1/100 milivolts everytime.
