I am having trouble with servos not centering. I have tried using power hd 1900a and eflite s75 servos...8 total and none will center in any position. I have tried phenolic arms from 3dhs and dubro xl arms. Am I doing something wrong or do I have 8 bad servos? I am not sure if there is a torque issue or not...these seem to fit the recommendations on the website for this plane. It seems to improve if I move to a closer hole on the arms but then I get really small amounts of throw.

I've had so-so luck on S75's over the years. Some center, some don't, but Horizon will normally help if you get bad ones.
On the HD's, no surprise. They suck. I've never had any that would center, and neither has anyone else I know. I looked up the online reviews of that servo at hobbycity, there was only one, and it mirrors my results: Your search '1900a' found items in the following categories; Your search found the following customer reviews.Power HD Servo 9g/2.0kg/.10sec POWER HD-1900A servos I bougth 5 of this servos, three of them bounce and two have strange movements at the end. One is completly craze and I will never use it. I was oblied to acquire other set of servos (order # 200364137) because I was no confident on this product and its performance. I am extremally disappointed. ----------------------------- I'm using Hitec Hs-45HB in our 40" Edges. I'm very happy w/ them. ------------------------------

I will be getting better servos...I just thought i may have been able to use servos i had laying around. I guess I will have to spend another $90 on good servos. Has anyone had luck with futaba 3114s? They are more in my price range for this particular plane. As for s75 it is shocking that they would use such a poor servo in those blade 400s...seems dangerous to me.

I have three flights on mine with Futaba 3114's I had in a Seagull 300E for over a year. They seem to be doing a FINE job! I also have them being bossed by a Hitec 6 channel RX.

Sounds good...I might be able to get a deal on the futaba servos locally. Glad to hear they work. I am using futaba 2.4 for now while I wait for the hitec aurora.

I haven't had any good experience with the S75s. I have though, had the best success immaginable with the HXT 900s. They are much stronger, faster, and center MUCH better than S75s and HS-55s. You can't beat the price too! $3.65! I highly recommend them!

spend some cash and get good servos ! the last thing you want is a servo failing and crashing your plane.
If your fliying it hard put meatel gear in at the least put one in for the rudder. I striped 3 hs65 out in my 3d kat over its lifetime the last one caused it to flat spin into the ground . I just bought 4 hs65mg for my 42" slick- cheap servos are for foam

This little plane is just awsome! I just mounted an ACP 11x7 on the business end and it lifts from my hands at less than 2/3 throttle with a 3c 2100 pack and Eflight 480. Don't know if that's great but like sex, it made me feel good!

I will definitely be going metal gear. I didn't think it would be needed on such a small plane. I went ahead and put hxt 900s in ailerons and elevator and hs55 in the rudder after the hxt900 i had in it stripped while setting the throw. I flew the plane this evening and it seems to be very promising. The omega motor had tons of power with the apc 12x6 prop. However, the elevator servo started to get notchy and then all the sudden it got stuck at around half way up elevator. I managed to bring it down safely using throttle but I am pretty disappointed that I didn't just get good servos to begin with. The hxts are much faster than the hitec hs55 servos which is nice but they just arent tough enough for this plane. They also seemed to almost hold position sometimes before reacting to the stick inputs. So lesson learned and metal/karbonite gear it is.
