There have been shots of the new electric yak from extreme flight surfacing. Its a little bigger than the extras and it won "The pilots choice award for the best new product" at some sort of R/C event. Looks very nice...........im reserving one at atlanta hobby.

Hinson does it again... It will certainly be of the same quality as the Extra, which is of course superb......

If its like thee extra, they will have a package deal...
and i think a 2100 3 cel lipo would work.

So could you stick a glow engine on there, is it 40 size? looks a little small for that but......I hope it is big enough, have an os .50 sx sitting in my garage but that is probably too big.

The way the extra is made, a glow motor would rip it apart.
I must have had a screw come out of my spinner and the vibrations blew the front of the plane apart on its 1st flight... Don't get me wrong.. GREAT planes... just defiantly electric only. (Unless HIGHLY modified) The vibration from a thrown screw literally made the entire front of my plane explode. They are built light.

Looks like if the Pilot is Freaking Good the plane can dish it out.

here are the specs from Chris:
"47" span, 44" length, 425 sq. in., 35-38 oz. depending on battery. The plane flown at SEFF used both 2100 and 2500 mah 20C 3S1P FlightPower batteries. Although the plane pictured has the carbon tube joiner (we have had this model since before the Extra was released), the production version will have a solid composite joiner that is flat and much easier to glue. We have also made the stab and elevator from slightly thicker material. Construction on the 47" Yak-54 has just begun, so we are still probably 2 months away from receiving the first shipment."
