Do not run nylon geared servos on Giant Scale aircraft - especially on the elevator....
Started out as a nice impromptu Cub fly Saturday ![]() ![]() Had loads of fun chasing other 1/4 scale Cubs around. Nice to have 26cc's in a pack of 20cc birds ![]() Hmm, pull up isn't working. Neither is push down.... "Houston, I think we have a problem" ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone have a good reference for Zenoah repair.....

Completely stripped - not even trying to engage teeth - cuz there weren't any teeth left!
Hitec HS425BB................ Now I'm wondering if I should start replacing the DS821's I have in my warbirds...

I would think that the servo did not have the torque for the plane

Yeah, I'm thinking that 43.4 oz with an elevator that size might have been a problem.......

You should have at least 75oz of torque and metal gears on a quarter scale cub. Sorry about the crash.

that would have been a piece of cake for a FUTABA S9152....
... but wait.... it has Nylon Gears!!!... and even a big honkin Nylon Serevo arm.... and has lasted for hundreds of flights on 4 of my 40% planes over the years!!! sorry for the loss though... sucks to loose a fun plane!!

Yep, Prado
And after looking at the 4.8V NiMh battery (untouched in the crash) - it had one completely dead cell. So now I'll never be sure if it was the servo, ot the 6200 locking out on low voltage ![]() s'ok, the G26 found a nice home on a Pacific Aero Clip Wing Monocoupe!
