We went back Sunday. My son got autographs from Matt Chapman and Rob Holland. Matt signed autographs at the fence.
My son went up to one of the staff from Robs plane and somehow got him to walk from his chair where the plane was parked at the beginning of the show out to him on the line near the Harriers. he came back with an autographed picture. I didn't hear what my son said but I guess no one could say no to his innocent 9 year old blue eyes. I know better. Boy are the young girls in town in trouble when he gets older! The boy could charm his way out of a straight jacket. |

Hey guys! Just back home now from Binghamton. Good show... a bit windy and cool on Saturday, but you just don't get better weather for an airshow than today. Simply perfect!
I met up with a few RC'ers. Always fun to see whos who. Signed an antique CAP 580 "splat" cowl and canopy deck lid. Thats always fun... although most probably go home and get the MEK out and wipe off the autograph anyway : ) So... you know you're getting old when..... you do a show with Rob Holland. If you guys have never seen him... and you get the chance... TAKE IT! The dude rocks! He is doing things in his MX2 that are incredible. We spent a lot of time togther this weekend. He told me some the things he was doing and how he thought the CAP could do the same.... bottom line... th MX2 and MXS really are the new standard in acro. If he had a Brian Norris (Sean Tuckers announcer) his show would be better than a certain puke red, computer company... Pitts type bi-plane. I'm not blowing smoke here guys. He does things with the plan that you WILL NOT BELIEVE. You want him to do each one twice so you can see it again and make sure you really saw what you think you saw. It's that cool. I N E E D O N E !!!!!!! Any way.... good show.... Blues were the Blues... Now... finally after 3 months of non stop airshows and work.... its off to War Birds over DE next weekend! YES! I can't wait. Glad you guys enjoyed the show... thanks for the props .... the support and coming out to support a great show. Fly safe. Matt Last edited by Matt Chapman; 07-05-2009 at 09:57 PM. |

Hi Matt!
Thanks for a great show! All the pilots were amazing. Of course you were a favorite since my son and I fly RC. I wanted to thank you again for coming over to sign autographs. My son Steven didn't say much but he was thrilled. It really meant a lot to him that you came over to say hi. -=Scott=- |
