We know it isn't set in stone. Not sure where that came from. How do i know it's tail heavy? I CG all my aircraft (that has a wing tube) on the tube. The plane will always fly at or near that CG. I was merely saying it was tail heavy in that regard. i didn't say it was too tail heavy to fly. My method isn't extact science, but it gets me close. Then after the maiden i adjust if needed.

Pretty much a bad day. On the way to the field the plane bounced from a big bump and bent the tail wheel. No damage to the plane itself Couldn't fly it so I ran the engine and the smoke system. Both worked great! No pics because I didn't charge my phone. Hope to maiden tomorrow or Friday.

bent the tailwheel so much so you couldn't straighten it out at the field? are you sure you didn't damage the plane?

Guess which tailwheel I have on my 37.5%.

It is much stronger than stock.

It looked worse than it was. But I had to use the vise to straighten it out. When I hit the bump I saw the plane bounce up, and the bungee slammed it back down. I pulled over thinking the rudder was probably toothpicks. Well that was not the case. The rudder had no damage, but the tail wheel assembly was bent. I was very impressed with the strength of the plane. Maiden tomorrow!

Actually, that might be an Aeroworks tail wheel.

Did you have to fill in the old holes? I ordered one of Tony's new tail wheels. I'll see how it works before I go with the Aeroworks. Also, I just ordered the 73" Yak (Blue Flame) from Tony! This one is going to be a blast! I'll post pics when I get it. These are good times!!!

Some photo's of the progress I made on my 150cc Pilot Yak.

Emcotec power box mounted, 3 x Futaba 9152 servo's ganged for rudder, rudder fitted and pull- pull installed, ignition and ignition battery fitted and Cowl is cut . Motor mounted and MTW 110K pipes fitted. Changed supplied tank to 40oz Dubro tank.

The end is in sight !

Cheers

Very clean. Great idea on mounting the Power Box. Where will you mount the throttle servo?

Steve

Throttle servo mounted but I still need to set the headers and might need to use a shorter servo arm if the clearance is minimal.
