Ok, I know my setup is a bit overkill but I had the gear and nothing else to put it in...

DLE 55 on cannister
Power System Sport Plus with ignition cutoff
HS 7955 TG on rudder
HD 9150 on everything else
dual A123 2200 6.6 volt and NIMH 2700 4.8 for ignition
spectrum 9000
23*8 woodprop

My flying is "casual" sports (flown for ten years), I like both IMAC and 3D, but my skills are not there yet

here are som pics

My 300 came in at 30lbs. 8611a's all around except on rudder and throttle 8711 rudder, 821 throttle, Smartfly turbo reg, 3 2600 li ion bats, 2 fiji water bottles for gas and smoke, wrc smoke pump, and DLE 111 with cans. I seal the cansiter tunnel with CF to keep smoke out of the fuse and made cf baffles.

Its actually not too bad. Good hovering, Nice pull, Not really that loud. I've tried a vess on another airframe and it didn't seem too much quieter. I am going to order another vess and see the difference.

Can you post a pic of the inside? I'd especially like to see how you did the smoke and fuel bottles.

I noticed red tips on the wings. Is this to see the wings better when landing?

Vess props are the loudest I've heard, but they pull like mules.

Zi-Chun Lin, That was some sweet ass hukin there! Your control of the plane is amazing. Props to the camera person as well. It was nice the way he kept the plane and the ground in view when possible. Expert use of the zoom as well. All around great video. I wish this was an .avi or quicktime video.

So Mike, you're saying the DL-111 will like the 26x12? Thats cool because I really like the Mejzlik props. I use a 26x10 Mej with my BME 102 and the engine comes alive with it. Doesn't load up as much as say an MSC of the same size.

For Zacs DA-50 Extra 300 we went simple and you dont need power boxes and fancy booster regs for a 50cc plane, its waste of money and weight.

Ours came in close to 7Kgs maybe even a tad under.

1 x Fromeco 5200 Li-Ion for RX
1 x Fromeco reg for RX
1 x Fromeco 2600 Li-Ion for ignition
1 x Jr 2.4 RX
1 x Smart Fly Optical Kill
and 1 servo per control surface
and thats it!

I agree on a 50cc airframe power boxes and what not are not needed and overkill, 100cc are still borderline, 40% and larger in my mind. Simple is best in weight savings and less chance for failure. Just use good equipment. But I'm sure people will disagree but, that's what makes this hobby interesting as people have many different ideas and execusions.

I like simple as well.

2-A123 2300 - Rcvr
1-A123 2300 - Ign
Spectrum AR9100 Powersafe (Will use Bind Plug as switch)
Smart-Fly Reg on Ign
Smart-Fly Optical Kill
4 Hitec 5955's on the Ailerons
1 Hitec 5990 per Elevator half
1 JR 8711 for Rudder (Pull-Pull)
1 Hitec 5645 on Throttle
DLE-111 W/273D JXF Prop ( This is an IMAC bird so I may have to switch props. Although the downlines should be pretty slow.
