Default Mejzlik 25-12S and 26-12N 3 blade props.

Hi,

How do the Mejzlik 25-12S and 26-12N three blade props compare performance wise?

Many thanks,

Branwell

Branwel,
I think not that many people have used both props in comparison.
My preliminary guess is that the S prop puts a 30% larger load than the N-prop.
putting your numbers in my calculator, running both props at 7000 rpm I get 14 hp for the 26x12N and 15.5 hp for the 25x12S.
adjusting for hp, I can see that the 26x12N pulls harder all the way form static to top speed, due to it's larger diameter.
I would need mass distribution data to predict spool-up between the two, but methinks the 26x12 wins.

The S blades seem to spin pretty quite. Not much noise. My DL 100 spins about 5750 on that prop. Cannot comment on the N blades.

Something I was hoping to hear.
Because of ground clearance I need a prop that loads the engine quite a bit. In Europe, noise is regulated, so our choices are limited to lower rpm and more pitch. Nobody like a barking prop over here. Enter the three blade tooth picks with large pitch because of this.
